drift days are good for beginners, as long as you dont want to have passengers, run tandem, or manji they are alot of fun.

Drift Days are always a good start. They are relatively inexpensive and there are a lot of people there that can give you good advice about your driving. No need to join a club unless you really want to.

dont underestimate the power of knowing how to grip before you learn how to drift. start autocrossing and doing HPDE stuff and you will be AMAZED how easy it is to drift once you know how to grip.

grip and drift are not opposites, they work together.
