Is it stock? Open diff?

If so. I have some advice.

You have to be going faster if its open diff. Would be better to do it at a track. To start the drift do a feint, so you steer to the outside of the turn and steer back in. As you steer back in pull the hand break. Some things to remember about pulling the hand break: Push in the clutch, push in the little button on the hand break, and put the hand break back down. After you pull the hand break while steering in get on the gas pop the clutch. As the car starts to slide let go of the steering wheel and it should go straight into counter steer. If you let go and it doesn't counter-steer, give the steering wheel a flick to get it started. Then from there if you feel yourself straightening out, steer in to the turn more. STAY ON THE GAS. As you exit the turn slowly let the wheel straighten so you don't flick back the other way.

All it takes is practice, it can be done w/ an open diff. Trust me lol. Once you get it once tho, you can do it again and again.

Good luck

was this the absolute first day of drifting? it looks like an open diff to me for sure. learn how to do weight transfer and get your steering work down.

what i did when i first started, i watched lots of videos and studied in car shots as well as the regular out of car shots.

ebraking it will help you learn the entry. doing donuts will help you learn to control a drift.

so start with those. dont just jump into turns. you'll get hurt that way

and one thing that bothers me about people who are trying to learn, they dont THINK about what they were doing wrong. they just go and do the same thing over and over without thinkin. use yer brain!

now go have fun

It's a good thing to have a video camera to be able to critique yourself and see what you're doing wrong.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned that he was understeering like crazy for half of that turn. That is the main problem.

events are pretty safe. Your not going to be doing any tandom drifting your first time. Once you get on a track, you wont wanna leave.

There was a lot of understeer, but it all starts from somewhere. practice practice practice...

yep lots of practice..and THINK about what happened and how you could do things different.

some people (i should say most) just charge in and they crash
