It all depends on the suspension setup and your seats and stuff like that. It depends on how hardcore it is and what your roads are like. Also it depends on what your tolerance is for hardcore bumps. After riding in my dad's Cr-x for like 1 hour to look at a 240 my kidneys felt like they were bruised. That was with sh*tty shocks and stock springs. I got used to it though

mmm id rather have another car as my daily cuz daily driver and daily drifter just dont really go. Things will brake down faster so you'll be fixing it more often. I love my car but after 4 years of Daily driving and drifting. I cant really trust it to start, sometimes it just wont start and other various problems. It takes its toll on the car is all i can say

i drove mine everyday and i hated it. My head was inches from my cage, no radio, and it would have problems on the street more then it ever would on the track. I would get another car just for the comfort haha

thats how i did it since day one really. i sold my last ae86 to buy a daily and put together a drift car again.. in the end i sold the daily and bought a drifter while i build my other ae86..lol. as far as reliability goes.. its all in maintenence. comfort is how far u go with it. at one time i would swap seats out of the car left and right... stock seats till drift time then racing buckets. i keep a radio in my car even at drift events u can hear me playign the radio on runs.. its how i do it. i did learn a while back that even though they are 2 seperate cars if u have a daily u could end up with both breaking and having to fix them both so its really no cheaper.lol.

yea i am lucky enough 2 be able to own 2 cars at 16.....a saturn and a 240....so i figured that i would want 2 ride in the car that i put all my money into...but people were telling me other wise.....i think i can handle the rough ride after a suspension change and daily maintenance.....i figure i would keep the radio because it would hurt anything...

I think it all depends on how much the car is built and what the driver can tolerate. Theres no reason a mildly built 240 couldn't be a daily driver.

heh, my friend has his drift car as a daily driver but he got a lot of heat from it so he had to garage it until d00rifto events.

if you are tight on cash you can build a pretty decent DDD (drift/Daily Driver) but you can find you self in a bind when it breaks/crashes like all race cars do wether its drag or drift or what ever. its always a good idea to have a back up

Ya dude i am in the same situation you are in drifting is awesome, but i only own the 240, i mean i will just have to take out a loan if i crash, and i am 18 so that will work out a little better, but does anyone know if there is a 240sx club in philly? i am trying to find one.

i have a whole lotta friends that use their cars for drift events, work, school and what ever. I used to do the same, but wanted to get serious with my car, which is now track only.

My only beef with having a daily/drifter, is you kinda have that thought in the back of your head like "damn, i gotta drive this thing home today". Fortunately...or Unfortunately for me, i never had that thought...So i always went all out, but that left me on the side of the road with a blown motor after an event.

Just be prepared to fix stuff faster if it breaks.
