I, personally, have given up on this. Gillette will cut down costs to 6K per lot per day which would be 12K. One for drift, one for autoX, or one for show or some combination.
You can only have 150 tops people participate (for a good day) so 12,000/300=40 per person. Not bad, but thats only to make the cut, nothing in for charity yet. AND thats for an event. Fee for a spot in the show is a shot in the dark. I have no idea how many people will show, and it wont take a "I'll be there!" post.
Plus we have to think about the extra charges we will have for all the marks we leave (which are undetermined so thatll be good news as well as port-o-potty rental, general cleanup, food (which we HAVE to cater through them) on top of insurence. Unless we get some serious sponsors that are willing to donate serious money I dont think this will happen.
I'm juggling my work, my school, my one day of free time, and my engine build all at once. A large scale event like this is just to much.
BUT! Jacob and I have mentioned an event at fort deven's or some similar airbase of some-kind. I haven't really looked into this but this could work, and at a much cheaper expense.
And for a show for whoever was down for that I am kind-of possibly lining up a spot for that. It's moving slowly because, again, I have my own life and as much as I like cars and shows, I'm not going to stress myself to do it. Asit develops I'll fill everyone in, and if it falls through, oh well.
