In my 92Q, the top part of the steering wheel seems to have lost that smooth coating, and its really dry and looks like its cracking. Is there a way to restore some moisture to it? I've tried Lexol, Meguiar's, and both of them seem to just dry it out even more.

Nope - it's history.

See Rex's thread on steering wheel issue.

Wheelskins is the answer.

I've had some success saturating the leather with Lexol... just squirting on and wiping off won't help much, but letting it soak for thirty minutes or so and then adding more seems to help some. Still not like new, but definately not as dry. It'll feel sticky for a day or so afterwards, but then better.
