What's a guy to do when his car doesn't need repair? He takes advantage of the situation and thinks about dressing up the engine bay. Let's see what all you've done to dress up your engine bay? Anyone ever done dress up washers? Stainless steel hose covers? Custom caps? Carbon fiber? Let's see some pics! I'm looking for ideas.

Here's what I did recently. Cold Air Intake, Oil catch cans with SS hoses and dress up bolts.

Nice. I have to ask, what are the oil catch cans? I've seen references a few times, but I'm not sure what they are for.

Also, where all did you put the dress up bolts and where'd ya get them?

Here's a good explanation regarding the oil catch cans: https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-cultur ... -have-one/
Here's the link for 12MM radiator support dress up bolts: https://www.ebay.com/itm/4PC-BLACK-BOLT ... 2749.l2649
Here's the link to 10MM dress up bolts: https://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-20-PC-BI ... 2749.l2649
If you look carefully on the black front cover, you'll see the "sick speed" dress up bolts which replaced the stock ones.

I was looking around and there really aren't that many bolts in the Q70 engine bay are there. So 10MM and 12MM did the trick for you? I have a black Q like yours. I was thinking of going with the red dress up bolts, just to throw a little color in there. I am an Alabama fan after all

Thanks to your info... the 10mm bolts fit all the random little bolts under the hood? https://www.ebay.com/itm/122214911176?V ... 2214911176

And the 12mm bolts are for the radiator supports?

Yes, the 10mm fit all the random bolts and the 12mm (4 of them) are for the radiator supports. Do you have a pic of your engine bay? BTW, mine is a G and not a Q so some difference. Thanks.

I've spent the morning sorting through all the choices on eBay. Washers without writing vs those with. English vs Japanese text. Curious why you chose sick speed and how they worked for you?

I just found them to be cool looking. I also got the sick speed radiator cap (you can see it behind the dipstick). Installing the bolts was a breeze.

I think I'm going with the Sick Speed as well. 10mm and 12mm was all you needed?

I must say it was really fun trying to email with people n China about other sizes! LOL

Cool. Yes, 10mm and (4) 12mm but before you order, click on the "Compatible Vehicle" tab just to make sure. I think the length may vary by vehicle. See here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ai70ZJT51I9XgeUqChD88VOf5zgr4Q
I'm totally satisfied with mine.

Take before and after pics so we could see them. Thanks!

Do you think these would be sufficient as strut tower nuts?

^Being that they don't actually say what the thread pitch is (unless I missed it), I'd stay away.

Agreed, I'd stick to automotive parts only and vehicle specific to your car. I'm sure there are nuts and bolts that may fit bike and cars alike, but I wouldn't take that hit and miss chance.

Nice points guys. I was leaning that way before I posted, but wanted a second opinion. Just having a tough time finding some strut tower bolts.

I ordered the 10mm and 12mm sick speed bolts and washers. I ordered a new radiator cap and oil cap. Too bad my baby is stuck in the dealership. I'm having the cruise control switch repaired under warranty. Seems odd that they're having so much trouble with it.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but they have other items available.

One of the things about owning a newer Q and having a warranty is you can do fun things like this!

Minimal Tools Required. The hard part is getting the words on the washers to line up.

I'm still looking for some other things!

There are a couple of 10mm bolts behind the fuse box for grounds. I didn’t change them. I wasn’t sure if the aluminum instead of steel would make the ground good.
