dremel port and polish

has any one done a P&P with a dremel, or can someone offer up any advice, i have an extra head collecting dust, so i was thinking about rebuilding it and replacing the head i have on there now which i think has leaky valve seals

Take your time. If you remove too much metal from the wrong spot, it will do a lot more harm than good. I'd concentrate on making everything smooth.

in my experience a real porting tool is the best investment here! I once used a dremel tool and it just bounced all around. with a real porting tool you can lower the speed without sacrificing torque because it uses a better reostat than dremel. I love my porting tool and it makes things so much easier, plus the bits are larger and remove larger amounts of material faster.

I imagine you're talking about carbide bits on a die grinder of some sort correct? At least that's what I used. I tried the whole dremel thing and it just took uneven gouges out of my head ports. The die grinder you can slow down a lot and really smooth things out. I'd reccomend getting a die grinder (air or electric), some carbide bits and some grinding stones to finish smoothing things out, you'll be set with that.

pnuematic, and compressor is the only way to go.Although dremel now offers a multi speed cordless which also does a pretty good job..
