If you had access to a 3 axis CNC Mill, what would you make for your ride? I have this that just showed up in my shop and know I will be spending a few afternoons( we close at noon) making some custom stuff.

Apparently this thing can cut a piece of metal, foam, wood that is 5'x10'x14" tall. I have 2 part foam and might be able to make some crazy body part molds, or take some stock metal and make parts?

Back to the main question, what would build for your ride?

I wish it was just as easy of dreaming up a part, putting metal in a machine and watching a part come out. We've got 2 5 axis mills here at the shop and I'll be damned if I can figure out how they work.

i kinda do have one of these all ready. we have one in our welding shop at my old highschool. my teacher is cool with me, so whenever i need to use it i just walk into the shop and do the graphs on the computer and download it to the machine and let it do the work.

It takes an intense amount of time to design things in 3d, but once I have them, its quick to get them to the machine. I like the idea of the one off front bumper. If someone is proficient, or bored enough they should go get the 240sx of of turbosquid, and make the mesh for a bumper .If I could find a 3d file for less than 85 bucks of a 240 I would have already done the design myself. I was thinking about making:-a mold for an intake manifold then making it out of Carbon Fiber. (any one have any design ideas?)-" " custom shaped valve cover " " "-Brake Calipers, Whole unit, why not try?-My own bushings, we have a bit of the two part poly rubber, and I am sure I can find some that will be firm enough while not being brittle.

I can weld, we also have a basic lathe with manual controls.

2d objects like spacers and gaskets take no time at all, just need measurements. time to pull out the digicalipers.

Idk what I would want to make. Everything I want/need for my sil40 is mostly bolt-on stuff. I'm not really that creative so I probably wouldn't be able to come up with something custom. Unless it can make a turbo, manifold or something like that lol, I probably would not get much use out of it.

And btw, what does it cut with? Looks like just a bit right? The ones I think are really cool are the flow-jets.

What brand is that? I went to a client's site last week and they are running about $5million in Tsugami dual spindle lathes and Mori Seki 3 and 5 axis mills. I couldn't even listen to the company info....I was just dreaming.

What does your company manufacture? And what programming language you familair with? I have picked up some basic G and M edits haha.

But to answer the question, I would do some subframe spacers, differentail bushings, and some solid steering rack bushings.
