Brought up in a conversation between myself and alan, here is mine

FRONT:-Apex-i N-1 JGTC spec coilover(8/6, bound/rebound adjustable, incoudes upper mounts, etc)-T/C rods made of Chromoly(for strength) heim joints, of course.-Adjustable front LCA made of chromoly or alluminum w/ heim joint and spherical ball joints-Kazama heim joint tie rod ends/stronger S14/Tein inner TR-T/C bracket Brace(tanabe or NISMO)-Front STB(cusco OLC apex-i C/f or other light weight/strong mfr)-Cusco/ST Sway bar w/poly end links or adjustable units

REAR:-Apex-I coilovers(See above)-R STB(cusco c/f)-Chromoly/alluminum heim joint adjustable Toe Rod, UCA, and Traction Rod.-Alluminum subframe bushings-Heim joint spindle bushings (where the rods attach)-Cusco/ST sway bar w/poly end links/bushings or adjustable unit

Post your dream setup if you like please dont include chassis bracing(roll cage, fender braces, etc) or brakes/differential stuff....keep it suspension related(no wheels either)

w00t.note: this list may change quickly as I remember things I'd like in the next few days...-chet

Well, are we going for realistic dream suspensions, because obviously an F1 car is not realistic. My dream suspension for my 240 is pretty much the same as yours chet, but that's because you pretty much listed the top of the line parts for everything...hard to beat that. In the real world, I'll never have JGTC spec coilovers, and alot of that stuff will be SPL rather than some of the big names.

There are several types of titanium. In pure form you have alpha, alpha-beta, and beta titanium. Basically beta being heat treated and the most resistant / highest tensile strength form of pure titanium available. Aluminum is lighter but not as strong as titanium, so when the part is made I can make it thinner (less aerodynamic drag, lighter) while maintaining the strength. But for something that is going to have alot of shock impact and heat from the brakes, such as the spindle I'd rather have an aluminum component because of it's high thermal conductivity and resiliant nature.

no, seriously, i wanted to know.

it's interior, yeah, but i still consider it part of the suspension, like when people post in threads about "post your suspension parts," i always see people post what wheel, seat, knob, etc that they have.

Not for show, just not part of the suspension. I could see you talking about wheels and tires or even mabye brakes, but not what shift knob you have.

I would be tempted to say the steering wheel is almost as connected to the suspension as the tie rods and ends. The whole steering assembly, in my opinion, needs to be high quality so I would probably have to include steering rack parts in my list.

steering rack parts maybe, like say NISMO rack bushings or something(which I have)

but dude..the SEAT is not part of the suspension assembly. its an interior modification. I never said a fiberglass/cf/kevlar racing seat was "show" necessarily..but it sure as hell doesnt deserve to be classified under "suspension"

much like the shift knob, or steering wheel...

its still a modifcation to the interior, regardless of purpose. you dont see me listing my hood or C/F hatch as "suspension" mods because they lightened the chassis...those are "exterior/body" mods, jue like the seat is an interior mod.

simple, really.this is also why I didnt include things like fender braces or brakes in my list, although those would be closer to being classified as "suspension"
