I have an 89 240sx hatchback automatic. Everytime you start it you have to rev the **** out of it for the accesories to get power to them, like the lights and windows and wipers. In fact, when they do get power to them, you know they do by the wipers comming on one time, even though the wipers are in the off position. Once everything is on the car runs absolutely fine and everything works as it should, and then when you turn it off and try to start it again it's the same thing all over again. After awhile of this song and dance the car eventually stops starting because the battery completely drains. What could be causing this? I've been told both my battery and alternator are good. Thanks in advance.

try to measure the power that your alternator gives on idle with all electric devices switched off and on (full electrical load). it seems that alternator does not charge battery. maybe problem is in wires.
