my coolent is bubbling from the resevoir, and smoking white.bubbling from the radiator when i take the cap off.i heard this is due to air pockets in the cooling system

i was wondering if any one could show me a legit write up on this.

and im hearing the "marble in the tin can" noise and i heard this is due to the timing chain guide.

whats up look for the single cam ka nissan published a tsb(technical service bulletin) about it and it says when there is a noise comming from the timming chain area you have to replace the chain guides and tensionersto fix this issue.. the single cam engine come whith this matter since this engine was released long time ago so dont worry you are not the firts and im sure not the last...

To bleed the air out of the rad use the bleeder screw on the water neck or jack the front of the car up and release the air by taking the cap off.

yes thats one way i found a couple of other ways

1. fill up the reservoir to the full mark and radiator then start the car let it warm up and as soon as it starts to get hot ( look at the gauge) turn it off. leave it atlone for a while until it cools down. as it cool the engine will pull coolant from the reservoir and push the air out somehow. it really worked for me.

2. while its cold remove the bolt by the coolant temperature switch and refill the radiator until coolant starts to come out then close it.

now run the car and it shouldnt heat up again. also make sure that your thermostat is placed correctly with the pressure relief buttom up.

good luck
