Can anyone tell me where to find the front and rear drain holes in a '96 Q45, I can't seem to locate them?

Thanks.

They are in the corners... Easy to spot with the sunroof open in the front.

Are they on the inside of the rail or outside? Are they stucked under the corners or in plan sight? How large are the openings? Should I be looking from outside the car or sticking my head up through the sunroof?

I have looked and looked and must be blind as a bat trying to find them

Thanks.

Anyone have any ideas, specifically where to look for the drain holes in the opened sunroof?

Thanks.

Janice:

I found the two drains in the front, you need to either look up through the sunroof or open the door and stand on the rocker panel. Look in the front corners using a flash light and you should see a hole approximately 3/8" in diameter. If you don't see the hole, use a piece of straight wire and pull the debris away from the hole, don't poke it in or you may jam up the drain tube.

I don't know if there is any other drain holes, if so, would someone please advise us.

Thanks.

Expanding on this topic, where do they drain to? I have checked the FSM and ALLDATA and no mention of the drain tubes at all! I'm getting water leaking into the interior via the map light assy. above the rear-view mirror, and I suspect the sunroof drains are clogged. I'd like to back-flow them from the bottom up w/ compressed air.

The tubes run down the roof near the tops of the doors down into the left and right sides of the trunk. If you pull the side panels in the trunk, or the jack cover you will see clear tubing that runs to a grommet behind those panels. They drain outside behind the rear bumper cover, or like mine the tube was pulled out of the grommet and draining into the recesses in the trunk on either side!

I believe they all go into the back, it makes sense because the water is going to be forced backward while driving anyway. This means they have a common drain.

Well, I couldn't see the rear ones, but did find out there are front drains in my 94. They drain through the A-pillars and seem to exit behind the front fenders...

Ask the dealer to look up a diagram on there computers. I doubt you can find such parts diagrams on ALL DATA. ;)
