I think I've read almost every thread on here about where to do the oil return. I am curious if anyone has thought about doing what greddy does for the RSX-S turbo kit and modify the oil drain plug with a banjo to be the return? sorry if this has been discussed for i haven't seen it. if you guys aren't familiar with the kit I can study it and take pictures as well as I'll be installing it and trying to get ideas for the KA. thanks, Greg.

oil would back up in the turbo. the return needs to drain above the oil level

And the drain is on the opposite side of the motor as the exhaust manifold.

How does Greddy get away with this on the RSX? do they just say "hey engine, this is Greddy, don't screw up like you normally would and ignore all that physics crap, kthnx.

is gravity not enough for gravity feed? dang gravity never works when you need it to!

So what's the best way to run the oil return? get a pre-mad tap-in kit? Or is there another way?

I finished the greddy turbo kit install last night on a RSX-S and the banjo fitting for the oil pan works just fine. why is it again no one is using this. don't say it doesn't work, not that I'm all up in Greddy's grits but they wouldn't do it and sell a bajilion kits if it didn't work. the only limiting factor I can see would be the design of our oil pan being different.

I have the greddy kit on my car and the way they do its fine... Its a solid tube that mounts to one of the oil pan bolts. then you weld it there. I like the design a lot and it looks clean.

our newest sponsor, IAP, has a special oil pan return kit that doesnt require any welding. Maybe you should check that one out:

You still need to drill the pan though...in the end, removing the pan and welding/screwing/bolting on a oil drain is the best bet.

yes, I called IAP and got info on there system of oil return. it seems like a nice setup so I will probably just get it along it with their kit. I think after doing the greddy kit on another car. the IAP kit seems like a good deal, 3k for kit and IC is a great deal IMHO. I already have an e-manage so I should do ok.
