You should probably raise your car up so it's not sitting so damn low.

wheel size has nothing to do with ride height.

When I made my down pipe I rotated the cat back flange a little so my cat back wasn't the lowest point on my car any more.

Maybe you can do the same? You are going over bumps and all at at an angle right?

get a new exhaust, the n1 duals while looks good hangs the lowest out of all the apexi exhausts and scrapes on a mildy lowered car.my gt spec will scrape even low speedbumps...apexi exhausts dont fit for crap.

+1. I'm going to be exhaust shopping in a few months. I've actually thought about having this part cut out for clearance.

Although I have the XS Power version, 1.8"F/1.8"R drop on 15" 180sx wheels:

i look forward to more questions from this user.... JUST not in the rb section.

but yeah I had the N1 Duals on my car. Sounds amazing with an rb, but way to low, think I had 3"-4" of clearance max if I used wire to pull it up even higher than the hangers allowed. I have since bought and installed a Buddy club spec 2 which I think also has the highest clearance of all the after market exhaust... and still sounds amazing on the RB25.

if anyone is interested in an exhaust sound demo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...annel

Thats why I made my own turbo back, its tucked up nicely and only sits about 1/2"-3/4" below my frame rail. Its 3" ID BTW.

If your worried about sound dont be, its very hard to f*** up a sexy RB note. Add more blow through mufflers if you want it quite, or a nice muffler in the rear.

Yeah, that's what Im afraid of. I've never heard how it sounds inside the cabin. That's why I think Im going to try having straight pipe welded in where the rear resonator hangs at first. By then, I'll have a hi-flow cat, and still have the 2 rear mufflers.

the BC spec 2 is really really quiet with the silencer on, but without the silencer it has an annoying tone from 2000-2400 rpms. which unfortunately is cruising speeds. but I have the stock nissan s14 dummy cat on so it may be effecting resonance. Waiting to get a cat delete pipe with the baffling, and possible adding a blow through muffler in the future.

but really its not bad at all.

you are right about the silencer and the fact it quiets it down loads...however it KILLS performance, with a 1 bar spring in the wg it would only build 10psi of boost due to back pressure.

Yeah, I'm thinking a resonated test pipe would help out a bit

Carl, did you have a resonated test pipe, or cat, or regular test pipe?

I love my invidia 3in cat back. It only has the rear most muffler and its not too loud and it sounds AMAZING.

And that's considering I really hate loud cars, since Ive taken plenty of trips with the same exhaust on my NA KA. This exhaust also made my sohc sound great too. Its weird how a quality exhaust can improve tone.

But that being said, its really hard to screw up a RB exhaust. I-6+ turbo pretty much covers any exhaust sins possible.

I am considering making a track exhaust, because when I'm drifting its kinda on the quiet side compared to other cars. I donno I doubt I'll do anything though since it works great as is.

Oh I know Carl man, even on my rb20 I lost 2psi of boost with the silencer in. Where I live they are getting real strict on exhaust noise and mods to your car...in order to have the bi-annual safety done you must meet certain criteria. No e-test here as of now but it will be comming.

On a side note I am contemplating running the Buddy Club Spec 3,I can get a nasty deal from enjuku on one (through a friend who works there).Anyone know much about this exhaust??

Yeah Im afraid of going past 4000rpms with the silencer in because im afraid of the strain the back pressure may be putting on the rb25s ceramic exhaust wheel.

The 1.5" exit on the silencer sucks

I would really love it if I could get someone to make me a custom baffle/silencer the would with a reduce the exhaust exit down to 3". If you cover the exhaust with your hand to bring the exit diameter to about 3" you can hear a noticeable sound drop that I feel will make the exhaust more tolerable without having that much of a drop in performance.

(on that subject, if anyone would like to make me one shoot me an email and ill provide down to the thousandth in measurements)
