okay so this is my first thread as a newbie so bear with me. but what kind of time can i expect with a SR swaped 91 240 with a 3 inch down and exhaust, and a FMI. on stock boost. also assuming I already have th car ready to go and am installing everything myself what do you think this will cost me? I have been reading up and this is my goal so far.

on the side would it be a good Idea to replace the head gasket before I do the swap? and the oilpan sounds like a great upgrade I may do both before the swap.

thanks guys this forum is really helpful. :help

the cost will depend on who you get your clip/package from

okay so I can get the clip for 2600 shipped. but the other parts I am trying to find at good prices and good brands too. loke a Greedy FMi or HKS? downpipe is less important on brand.

you might see a high high 12 on street tires. low 13s most likely.

I run on stock boost. Because I don't need 225WHP yet. I don't have the tires to put all that power down. I don't have an LSD to put that power down. I don't have any plans to buy a boost controller soon either.

Maybe I'm weird, but once I got my SR, being as fast as possible in a straight line kinda stopped being the most important thing ever. Going straight gets old after a while, at least in my opinion.

this is my exact reason for not pushing to quickly up. Now eventually I will go a head and up the boost. My goal is a full time drag car running 11's. but that is years away.

For a full time drag car you'd better show us some 9's.

**** I better get working on the sub nines then, I want to go slow at it but my question to you all would be then if I get the 500whp how will I keep it on the ground? I know I can keep 350 down, but will I be able to keep even slicks on the track?

PS at sea level in houston I might see 7's

turbo, nitrous, or supercharger I believe...thats what I'd consider a REAL power adder...and I think he meant he will hit 7's in several years...only time will tell on that one!
