What turbo is better for drag racing? I was thinking about a T04B or T04E. But someone told me that the t3/t04e is better. Also what trims would be good.

Thanks

It all depends on what engine you are using.

TO4E would be a good choice. The TO4R is also a good choice. How much boost do you plan on running??

I want to spend about 500-600 on the turbo. I am looking to run 20+ psi. This is not a daily driver, its a weekend night fun car.

What do you think of this spec for a T04E. A/R 1.0 on the exhaust side and .70 on the compressor side. I will also use nitrous to compensate the lag.

Just because a turbo works for one motor well does not mean it is a good match for another motor.

That being said, the TS04 appears to be a good match from the compressor maps I plotted. It will probably be a bit laggy, but depending on the boost level(I mapped out 1 bar(14.7 psi) it looks like the efficiency will be about 78% at least most of the time. It may start out at about 76 for a small amount of time at midrange RPM, but should be at 78% from there all the way up to redline. I mapped it for a KA with stock redline(S14).

Completely true C-Kwik, I was just saying, that there are people out there who have had very good luck with this turbo. And since turbos are pretty universal, it should be a close fit, however the Supras at 6cylinders.

Anybody used a T04 60-1 before? Comments on the specs of .70 comp. housing, .58 a/r exhaust with p-trim.
