depends on the driver, but a kat "should" get the jump cuz of hella low end torque.by the way i have 1990 fastback witha sr20det and a1990 coupe with a ka in it.and i rather drag.downshift wrote:i was also wondering, would an SR be as fast as a KA in terms of staight line speed (lets say, from a stoplight) providing they both had the same mods.

there is going to be like 2 drift events in FL hosted by dgtrials. you should check them out.:ylsuper (dgtrials.com)silvia tunner wrote:I still havn't learned to drift and the only time i really put any effort in trying to drift it went bad for me (Rack n' Pinion broke).I love the Rush that i get from DRAG no better feeling (other than sex).
And drag racing is just a bunch of guys/girls pressing the gas pedal and going straight. It's much harder and more challenging than it looks. It involves only a small amount of acceleration so you do not need gobs of power and you can't make up much ground with power. To be competetive, monitoring tire temperature and contact patch characteristics become critical. Unlike most road course events, autocross is easy to get into for competition. The competition is stiff and a lot more hardcore than most people realize. Imagine trying to squeeze out better handling when you might be limited in what mods you are allowed to make.downshift wrote:oh i forgot bout autoxing, it just never caught my attention. from what i gather it just seems like a bunch of guys(girls) driving around cones in a near bone stock looking car. i must admit, autox people do alot of suspension mods but that aint my style of racing(time trails). what got u into autox ride4lame?

I know that Greddy makes the speed cut eliminator, but I'm eventually going to get a JWT retune after I get all the parts for the turbo upgrade assembled. I don't wanna spend $600 now, then more again later because that seems kind stupid.
