I have a 1991 240sx automatic I changed the engine, but it came out of a1992 240sx with a manual transmission, when hooking the wiring back upI noticed on the tps sensor there was only one connector,on the automaticIt has two connectors,one on the top and one on the bottom, I hooked theOne back up that was on the automatic trans,when frist started the engineUp it run good no smoke,my dad was following me to the e-check, and theTransmission did not want to shift out until about 5000 rpm's after about a mile up the road he said it started to smoke white smoke,and it gradually progressed, also that why i changed out engines, the other smoke but it was a blue smoke.how long will it take to burn all the oil that was built up in the exhaust, or is this a diffinnert problem, but to get back to my topic,It failed the e-check, hc and co was good but the nox was 1899.00 and the limit is 925.00 after leaving the e-check i took the overdrive buttom off i don't no if the means anything or not ,but on the way back home the car did not smoke at all,but i did noticed that the transmission didn't want to shift out, and when it did shift out the rpm's were fluxuateing up and downDropping off, now when it warms up a little white smoke, when you rev up the engine. sorry about the long message,but i trying to give all the details so you can please help.
