DPF light

Hi, I have a 57 reg Pathfinder, which has recently had new EGR valve and turbo,the DPF was taken off to be cleaned and although it is totally clean the DPF light is still on. The garage I took it to has confirmed that they ran it through the computer to let it know I was all done but its still on!! I picked it up last week only to find lack of power when I overtake, so it has now gone back again, as they seem to think the gearbox needs re-setting due to having engine out and battery disconnected (please tell me this is correct) as this is getting very expensive They also suggested having a new DPF within the next 6 months,again is this normal? Thanks

Not sure what a "57 reg" is, but you may want to pose this question to the folks at PCoA. Nissan diesels aren't available here in the US (where I presume most of the users here are based), so not many people will have experience with them. But maybe someone will chime in...good luck!
