downshift problem sr20det???

when im on the highway driving over 50mph and i try down shifting from 5th into 4th the transmission grinds bad and wont go into gear. This problem just happened today out of nowhere. There is no upshifting problems at all. and no other downshifting problems. just from 5th to 4th. thanks for the help.

DO you blip the throttle to bring RPMs up before shifting into 4th or just drop it straight down? If your synchros were messed or starting to go You would have a problem every gear i would think.
