I got a HT stainless steel Downpipe for 159.99 from Heavy Throttle. I got a HT Stainless Steel Test pie for 99.99 from Heavy Throttle. They are great quality.

I have a Blitz. I believe phase2 sells them for $180. Full stainless steel too. You're a fool if you don't get a stainless downpipe, especially at that price.

My HT hot pipe isnt bent correctly. It strikes the body under even mild acceleration.

I just bought a Greddy dp from Enjuku Racing 150.00, I'd recommend it, it's a beauty.

Rust is not your friend. And for 20 or 30 bucks more, you might as well.

Rust isnt your friend....BUT high temperature coating done by a powder coating place or such, does stop any rusting, and more affordable...of course stainless is Premium, but its a part that basically no one sees, so high temperature coating or ceramic coating on a downpipe is prefered by me : )

cyber, are you talking about the hotpipe or hte downpipe?

Hey Cyberkreig - weird that the pipe hits, we have sold and installed a lot of them with no other reports of this. If you want to send it back we can exchange it for you for a new silver coated one.

Jeff -- Wow. HT has been helpful throughout my swap.. but that goes above and beyond. I didnt call you guys on it cuz most shops would give you a too f*in bad attitude. I'll email you about it once I get this trans replaced.

I wonder where it hits, i use the HT downpipe, and havent had any problems...

Jeff is always a step beyond 'most shops', and i have never seen him/them NOT help someone out...

I am going to have my downpipe custom made by mandrel machines, but then, I will have to worry about getting the flanges and gaskets and screws. If the price comes out to be equal to getting an aftermarket unit, I will just get a Blitz one to save the hassle. Getting the pipe made isn't hard, but I guess trying to find the flanges and gasket and screws can be a hassle.

I've dealt with HT personally, and I have no complaints. I bought a fuel pump, battery, heater hoses, catco cat, AIV plug, and a couple other things. The pump was broken when it got here, and they exchanged it no problems, so they get a thumbsup in my book. I have no problems with buying from the in the future.

However, one of my friends who got his swap there is less than thrilled with their work, to say the least.

Yeah, HT is a good shop in my opinion. Due to geographic factors, I dont think I can get a clip from them. However, all my parts will be purchased from them. I've been communicating with Jeff for the past few months and he always lectures me and gives me suggestions.

So yeah, HT all the way.

Was your friend dissatisfied with the quality of the installation, or the quality of the motor swap/front clip? I'll be buying soon, and thats the first thing I've read even remotely negative about HT.
