I'm about to do a bottom mount setup and I just wanted to check with people with experience if these parts will fit together

Megan Racing bottom mount manifold, GT2871R, then Megan Racing SR turbo elbow connected to any SR downpipe.

I was under the impression from what I've searched in other topics that with most of the bottom mount setups that the SR downpipes and elbow should connect OK?

I'm 95% sure that those will bolt together. Just not sure on the output flange of the turbo.

If the 2871 is a T2 turbine, the outlet pipe will bolt onto it. The outlet pipe, will bolt to the downpipe. ...but, you will have to extend one or the other to bolt together. The KA sits higher in the engine bay, so you will have to make it about 3" longer or your downpipe will be trying to come into your firewall just behind your gas pedal.

That's just my experience. Mock it up, but get prepared to extend some 'ish.

i dont know exactly how much of a difference the t2871r is compared to the stock sr-t25. from my t25 set-up w/bottommount mani. from phase2, sr megan elbow, blitz downpipe, hks hotpipe, everything bolted up fine. i even had a sr greddy intercooler that fit fine. the only problem i encounter was that there was about a 2inch gap between the downpipe and cat. so what i did was customed a longer test pipe. Nothing about dp being too close to firewall, but make sure to get exhaust wrap this seriously lowers enginebay heat, my enginebay was soo hot that you can even feel the heat coming off the fender.

the best way is to get it and bolt up then see whatever happens, i dont think you should have any problem.

Downpipe isn't too close to the firewall. I don't know if I'm saying this the right way or not.

Basically, you have to put a 3" spacer between the downpipe, and where the turbo elbow/dump bolt together. Maybe that makes it easier to understand.

That was just my experience. And if you think about it, they copied the SR manifold pretty much. And the KA sits higher than the SR. So it makes sense that the everything is jacked up higher in the engine bay. Maybe it's my stock motor mounts, hell who knows.

Not sayin that you are wrong or anything, but just saying that i didnt had any problem like what you experienced. makes sense though.
