If i get an sr20 or similat t25? turbo for my ka-t set-up would i be able to use an sr20 downpipe to pipe the turbo to my exhaust? Becouse the downpipe connects from the turbo to the catalytic converter right?

as long as the manifold places the turbo in the same spot, but why would you want a tiny turbo?

If you go that route, I hear SS autochrome has a KA manifold with a T25 flange that places the turbo in the exact location as an SR so you can use its elbow and downpipe.

i think the 14b would be a better turbo out of the two but is there anyway i could use an sr20 downpipe and modify the flange or something to work with a 14b?

The SR downpipe can replace your "stock first cat to second cat" pipe. I eliminated mine with an Apexi GT Spec downpipe... except I had to weld a flange into the pipe for the senor located on my stock pipe. I don't think this sensor is present on the pre 95 models, but the exhaust pipe is the same. So, if you could get a first downpipe... I refer to it as the O2 pipe... one that can connect from your turbo, and go down to where your stock headers end (and have a bung for the O2 sensor and for the EGR valve), then you can simply pick up where the that pipe leaves off w/ the SR downpipe.

Hope this helps. I tried posting a pic of the SR downpipe side by side with the stock one, but the file size is too big. If you want I can email it.

that sounds kinda confusing. Maybe the picture would help. [email protected]Basically what i need to know is what is the cheapest route in getting a turbo, exhaust manifold, and downpipe for my ka24de s13?

I was thinking maybe i could get something like this. An sr20 downpipe and reweld a 14b flange on it. I dont knnow if thgat is thecheapest way to go.
