i have a boost desings manifold and t3/t4 turbo. my problem is the downpipe wont bolt up to the turbo. it looks like it is suposed to because the turbo has a 5 bolt patter and so does the flange on the dp. but 3 of the holes are a little off. also the end of my downpipe has a 3 bolt patern im almost possitive the pipe it bolts to has only 2. i havent stripped my car and began installation becuase im still unsure of what parts i need for the downpipe. how will the iap kit with sr down pipes work with my mani because im thinking about going that route and getting rid of my downpipe. also i dont have any gaskets with my kit, at least they havent arived yet. i only have the wg (tial) gaskets. is it possible to make my own under this much stress and heat?

Your turbo consists of a standard ford type 5 bolt flange, which is the common style in the industry. Boost Designs uses a rare mercedes type 5 bolt flange, like you said, they look similiar but are not. I believe you can get away with having your downpipe reflanged to a ford style but dont quote me on that.

Also the end of the downpipe which has the 3 bolt flange wont reach your cat that has the 2 bolt flange, so you need to have a custom piece made at a muffler shop that connects the two.

i kind of figured id need a custom pipe, that makes no sense that they would let a customer have a flange that doesnt line up. i bought this second hand so i didnt deal with bd on my order but there is plenty of surface on the flange to reconstruct it, however if the iap downpipe will work on my turbo i will go with it, (ford flanged). im not sure how my wastegate setup will then be. that bothers me that they gave me a dp with the wrong flange, has anyone else had this issue? ps. i just took pics ill post them tonite around 1030 e. time. thanks.

i had the same problem with the same kit. i had to buy a new flange off of atpturbo.com... get the stainless steel t3 flange and have a muffler shop reweld it onto the downpipe while leaving the wastegate still bolted down to the manifold and downpipe so you dont have to run open wastegate. ill send you a picture of my setup when i get home.
