I've decided I need to connect at least a downpipe to my engine if I'm going be driving it any. I've found several sights that sell downpipes for the R32 with RB20 and was wondering if this downpipe would work on my 240 and will mate up to a cat-back exhaust made for the S13?

If not, do any of you guys that sell parts on this board have a downpipe that will allow me to connect an exhaust in the stock location? Or am I just going to have to buy a downpipe and make my own custom exhaust system?

Yeah I may, but his prices are a lot higher than what I can get RB20 downpipes for, and he's very hard to get in touch with lately. I guess the main thing I have to decide is if I want to go full custom exhaust (aren't any good custom exhaust shops in town, but I live about 35 miles away from Atlanta so I'm sure I could find one), or if I want to use a stock exhaust setup and pay a bit more for the downpipe.

I got the clip from Jarco, Inc. And for the record I'm totally satisfied so far with the clip I got and their customer service. From the looks of things it appears I got lucky and bought a clip that was already on a container on its way over. It would suck to have to wait around for several months AFTER I've paid my money and still not have a clip in hand.

LOL that wont work for some of us. My local shop WONT do 2.25 piping on my Altima and WOULDNT do 3.0 piping on my friends S13. Clearance and what not. I was like they manufacture 3in piping fo rour cars!!!! They still wont do it. I'll probably end up going to Minnesota for my exhaust...long *** drive though

I called Jarco (where I got my clip from) and they said the stock downpipe should have been included with my clip. I picked it up today in anticipation of getting an exhaust system up and running.

The downpipe also came with the stock R32 cat (not positive it's stock though, since the outlet from the cat to exhaust is about 2.75 inches...that's bigger than I would have thought). UPS brought my $300 ebay 3 inch stainless steel cat-back exhaust and muffler today and I laid everything out underneath the car. It appears the stock RB20 downpipe and cat is going to bolt directly up to my cat-back exhaust made for the S13. :D

I'll let you guys know for sure tomorrow when I actually try and bolt everything up. If this works at least I don't have to worry about getting anything custom to have myself an exhaust, and it will mean that aftermarket 3 inch RB20DET downpipes should also bolt right up :)

that's good news, now somebody find out if RB25DET downpipes are the same, or if they bolt up (on an S14?). and where can you get aftermarket 3" RB20 downpipes?

I believe takakaira.com sells them. I'd check but they now deny me access to their sight because I placed an order for an Apexi cone filter and cancelled it through their web site when I found out that shipping charges were $39...I knew shipping from Japan was expensive, but didn't know it was THAT bad.

Just wanted to confirm that the RB20 downpipe and cat that came with my clip bolted directly to my S13 exhaust. Everything lined up perfectly, even the little bracket that attaches from the transmission to the cat.
