Setting timing on ka24e and my distributor rotor points to 4 o'clock not to 12 like book says..oil holes lined up on pump... The D is at 1145... Timing chain and cam marks on...did distributor get nocked off when jumped time? Runs ok slow start and valve clatter..have to bottom distributor all the way right to get 10 btc ..thanks..

Set the engine to TDC on the intake stroke and recheck the rotor. It should be pointing to roughly 4 o' clock.

Ok so four o'clock is fine and not 12 like book shows.. Mine is at 4... However it bottoms out at 10 dbtc.. Is it possible i haven't got oil pump and
dist. right after pulling and re setting 50 plus times.. Still has slow start and valve clatter like too far advanced.. Thanks..
