dowel pins

hey i have a 89 240 with a ka24de and im replacing the clutch and transmission, i already have the clutch in and ready to bolt up the transmission but before i install it i was wondering about the dowel pins, do i need to replace them and if i just leave the one in if theres only one will this lead to misalignment in the trans thanks.

I have no dowels in my transmission and i have no adverse situations. It actually makes it easier to install. I removed them from my coupe and hatch
