SR swap if you want to do it right isn't going to be cheap..
If you want a half arse job then it might be cheap. This would be just taking your engine out and dropping the SR you have right in the engine bay then start it up.
To me, this is not an acceptable form of swap because it shows that you do not have a future goal or a plan for your build.
If you want to do it right, it would include all the bolt on modifications to support the SR and some preventive maintenace as well.
So in order to figure out what needs to be installed in the swap, you really need to set your self a power goal that you want to achieve and go from there along with your budge constraint.
I really dont see the point of just buying a blown SR for 1000 dollars... then... what? just have an engine?
Anyways, if you are going to jump on the bandwagon make sure you are in it for good. You will run into problems and you will end up spending far more money than you anticipated. Make sure you have enough slacks to catch you when that happens.
From one college student to another, doing a SR swap on a college budge + trying to manage college time with swap time is not fun.
Hope this helps you go in the right direction with the swap.
