So I pick up my rockers and my rear corners from the paint shop today, and somehow on some of the pieces the red cover for the tape is pulled right off. I have no idea how that happened but whatever it did.

My question is would I get away with just putting tape over the exposed tape or should I take a razor blade and take off the old tape and reapply new tape?

And If I do need to reapply the tape with adhesion promoter how many packets do I need of the stuff. I keep looking online and can only find them with a box of 25 but do I really need that many. I would say that its probably like 10 feet total that needs new tape. Thanks

yeah you need to reapply it... dont adhere adhesive to adhesive, it will fail!

well after a fierce battle I got the exposed tape off. I used a hairdryer to heat it up then I rubbed it off with my fingers. Which resulted in a bunch of blisters:(. I Ordered promoter so whenever that gets here I'll reapply the tape. I just got my road chip and tarred though so I don't think I'll put the stuff on for atleast a month tho ...

use some kind of tar removed to get rid of the residue than clean it with alcohol
