Just in case someone in the general tech forums can answer these questions...

My Z has been alligned and needs a camber kit for the front left camber, regardless there are still some issues.

1) My a/c belt seems to be the one squeeling on start up. I do have an aftermarket pulley set, but how would I tighten the belt to stop the annoying noise. I cant leave my neighborhood without everyone knowing. lol

2) When in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear and cruising i hear a grinding noise. Could i assume that is my clutch and I just need an adjustment?

3) I also seem to have an aftermarket ebay short throw shifter and it has trouble going into 2nd and reverse and sinks down. I can jiggle it up and down. What can I do about that to make sure it doesnt pop out like it sometimes does and the grinding noise it makes when trying to go in reverse?

please try not to double post, besides i think youll get better help in the Z forum then here, to be completely honest with you.

The Z trans are known to have synchro problems on the earlier models. That could be waht your looking at. It could also be related to your short shifter.

I know theres a bushing that often goes bad and that can cause the problems you describe.

so you have an aftermarket crank pulley (underdrive I assume?) are you using the stock belt length? have you tried tightening the tensioner?
