I have noticed a lot of discussion about how to install, what went wrong and why didn't my radio work. I am trying to find out what radios actually worked successfully with a double din setup.

Generally all AM headunits should work. the issues happen when 1) The car had a BOSE system and has burned amps 2) Because its not a direct wiring job some lesser experienced folks screw it up.

Thanks. So, what is the deal about BOSE vs Non-BOSE systems? If it is a BOSE system should I swap it out for a Non-BOSE system?

I'm not going to go into detail because it's been explained a few times on this forum. But essentially you either use the preamp signal wires cut them from the amps and splice speaker plugs onto them. The pre-amp wires are small and may not produce desired results if you're looking for high SQL. The other option is rerun the pairs from the dash to each speaker location with standard speaker wires. Use the big blinking SEARCH button at the top right of the page to find more in depth descriptions, also you can access the FSM via the link in my sig.
