Double DIN question

hey Guys, I am planning to replace my stock HU(non NAV) with an after market double DIN unit.Am I going to lose all the radio control on my steering wheel?.any member have this done before? any pic? thanks

Initially yes. You have to buy something for it. Do a search I know the part has been mentioned before, or else someone will tell you eventually maybe.

Thank you for the info guys..seem like they only have the housing for the earlier G35..I have the 08 sedan G35.I went to a custom audio shop today.they said it possible but they have to move most of the control(radio,setting etc) around to another location lower than the original location and labor will be over 1k..yike..

Wow $1k, I usually charge about $300 for that sorta job. I just finished the same type of job on a 2008 Titan today. Fiberglassed a 2 Din opening into the top half of the radio/climate control panel. Same scenario with your G, in that nobody makes a installation kit for it. It turned out perfect though!

Toby..wow..$300..I would get it install in a heart beat..since you are an audio expert. do you know if the dyn 362 3 way component can fit in the 08G without re-doing the whole door?.the custom people said they can place it down by the kick and move the fuse box to some other place..labor alone is $900..
