Does anyone know if a double DIN headunit will fit in a Z32?

I'm looking at a Kenwood unit:http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_...X8120

Is anyone running a similar system?

I would cut middle strip and place carbon fiber sticker over the bezel just to make it look a lil better

Flip ups are very common and don't look as good as double dins, I think that's it.

For double din you're gonna need to trim the center console area to allow for double din and then buy a new surround for it, such as the Real Speed one, or have one custom made.

I like the look of a double din unit. Personally I haven't seen a flip out in action on a Z so I don't know what to think about it.

hey, i see this as my call to advertise! if anyone's interested i have a flip-out monitor made by LM that i'm willing to sell. 7", DVD, MP3, CD, Radio, you know, all that. non touch screen. it'll come with everything needed for the install, including two pieces i had to buy separately for the Z specifically (one is something to do with the radio). i'm not very intelligent with the audio names, as you can see.

let me know if you guys are interested!

o, i bought it from a guy used. i never installed it, but i know it works and everything because i saw it in operation in his car before it was uninstalled.

on a scale of 1-5 i'd give it a 3 or 3.5 for its condition.

come on, help out a po' college kid and fellow Z32 enthusiast!

I tried to search for a double din sorround adapter, but can't seem to find it... what is this 'real speed' that you're talking about?

Also considering a Kenwood Dbl DIN GPS/XM/DVD/CD unit -- Already have the Double-DIN Bezel which test fits fine but not sure which current Model Kenwood Head unit will fit in the DEPTH dimension - Anyone actually have some hands-on experience with how deep the unit can be without hitting the tubular structural steel bar behind the console ?
