It looks pretty obvious that a Double-DIN unit would fit but the reason I ask is that both bestbuy.com and circuitcity.com come back with a "No Fit" for the Z.

I think I may have found the solution though...

The Metra kit is a must if you are installing a single din aftermarket head unit . If you install a DD ( double din ) unit you don't need the metra.

could be a depth issue with a particual double din model, might check crutchfield as well
