DOORS NOT LOCKING WITH KEYS HELP!!!

I recently found out that my doors aren't locking or unlocking with the keys............... if i manually lock the door (push the lock while holding the handle) it locks but i can't use the keys to unlock it i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what it might be

It's most likely the locking mechanism. Z1 sells a replacement one for the driver side door, found here:

It's made of metal instead of the plastic that Nissan originally decided to use, and is a PITA to replace. Many a bloody knuckle happened while I was replacing mine. Positive is that it won't break again!

If it is the mechanism, would the lock keep turning instead of stoping like normal when trying to lock/unlock?

That's how mine felt when the cam lock plastic broke which is the piece Ace linked too on Z1's site. It just rotates around because it's not connected to anything.
