Door won't open from inside?

2013 S. Right rear door suddenly won't open from inside. Works from outside. Easy fix?

There's a "up / down " child proof slide near hinges , keeps toddlers from double-pulling handle , opening door , then getting runover on pavement - absolutely NEEDED these days

Many would suggest seeing IF there , and IF the actual problem or not.

If the kiddie switch isn't the problem, the inside and outside handles have different cables. The handle pivots on the inside are plastic and sometimes break. Popping the door panel loose will tell you, and it's an easy fix with a new handle if that's the issue.

Most times , as w/me I've caused that child-proof lockout while doing ' intensive ' detail wiping around the inside , bottom , & perimeter of door AT THE HINGES areas , terry cloth towel grabbed and pulled to' inside lock ' position & unnoticed mistake happens.

Yep. When it happens with customers, nine times out of ten it's a complete mystery. They have no idea how or when the kiddie switch got thrown.
