Door sill scuff plates for 2014-2016 Rouges

It looks like these come in two flavors, those (like the factory version) that sit on top of the sill but don't overlap the edge, and those that do overlap. I like the thought of the added protection of the overlapping type, but wonder if that has any impact on door closing/sealing. Any thoughts about the style depicted here and if that creates an issues with the door closing properly? Image

I had the lighted version of these for the front and the rear were non lighted. They do not intefer with the closing/sealing of the door at all in any way. The door seals compensate for the overlap.

Thanks Ken, I appreciate the feedback. Where did you find the lighted version if I may ask. The genuine Nissan version doesn't have the piece that rolls over the very edge of the sill (the part that tends to get scratched the most). I found these available online and liked the idea of them for that reason. Thx!
