Well, a bit ago (Before joining Nico), I noticed that my doors were sagging a tid little bit, and when I hit a bump or was sitting on a weird angled hill, the light above my mirror would blink on, along with my "Door Open" light on my dash. Me and my dad adjusted the door, and got new little plastic jams for it, and all was fine and dandy. Well, the past few days, its been happening again. Anyone else have this problem and is there is an easy fix? I've been told by a couple friends I may have to take it to a body shop to get it fixed up, and I simply don't have the cash at the moment. I tried searching already, and got bum notta.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

(BTW, its a '94 if that makes any diff.)

I stuck a tiny pebble in the doory close sensor. Lifted the rubber grommet and tucked it in there....

I had exact same problem and I moved those 2 door jam hardwares to the back as you can see in the picture. Can you see the marks where they used to be? My both doors won't shut and they were out like 5mms, so I moved those holders to the back about 5mm, and they look perfect now. They are bolted on there pretty good, so make sure to use PB Blaster. Once you do that door will push the sensor enough and you won't get the light anymore. Be careful and do not strip the head of the bolts. Actually, this was the very first fix I did to my car when I first bought it.

Typically you use an impact driver for this. It's a big screw driver looking thing that has changable bit and you hit with a hammer and it turns one way or the other depending on how you set it. Obvisouly these need to be pretty tight.

Here's the one I use:

Good luck!

I did it with bare hands and yeah... it was tough to loosen and tighten them.
