Door puddle lights

I apologize if y'all have seen these before, but I haven't seen them on here. I had these 'puddle' lights on my M35x, and before the insurance company towed it away, i swapped them for the lights on my M37x. Turns out they are 100% the same. Basically you pop out the OEM courtesy lamp in the door, unplug it, plug in the replacement, and pop the new lamp into place. You end up with an LED courtesy lamp that also projects down onto the ground when the door is opened. Decent quality, though I had to open one of the four lights and turn the little logo/slide/transparency a bit to align it the way i wanted. Projected logo is white, INFINITI text is red. I found these on eBay a few years ago, but I know they're still out there.

The regular 'courtesy light' function is whiter and brighter than the stock incandescent lamp, and the projected logo is really bright at night. The flash from my camera just washed the photo and the effect out a bit.

How long do these last for you? I am on my second set and the film logo is "burned through" and only shows a big blob. I am wondering if the LED is too strong and burns through the film. It sucks that no one seem to be selling just the film replacements for a few bucks and you have to buy a set of new lights. There's dozens of Chinese sellers on Ebay but nobody wanted to sell me the logos only. I am not paying $20/pair every 6 months and swapping perfectly good lights just so my logo is crisp. I like the look otherwise but wish it lasted longer....

Strange, Mjkkb2. i had mine in the M35 for well over a year, if not two, before moving them to the M37. I don't actually remember when i bought them. Still on my first and only set. They're only on when the door is open, so I'm surprised that yours burned through. Certainly feel your pain on having to replace the whole thing, though.

I got mine off of eBay. Just search for "infiniti m35 door lights" or "infiniti M37 door lights". There are a couple of different styles, i got the ones with the white logo and red lettering. Mine came from China with free shipping.

I did the same with my 2012 M Hybrid - impressed the neighbors when paired up with the lit Infiniti kick plates :-)
