We're working on the search functions, so please be patient with us for a while longer.

This thread is in the FAQ's sticky - how-to-240sx-convertible-door-pillar-re ... 90488.html
It should have most of the info you need.

so THATs probably why i cant find crap on here, lol.
but since the post is already here...

so i have a coupe donor car with good doors, you guys think it would be easier to cut my vert door or swap the other door on and switch the handles(more than handy with a grinder and wrenches)

and more on topic about the seatbelt just being relocated, hass anyone used the convertible door seatbelt and move it into the back panel or is it too big/something else? i want to keep my rear seat belts and seats so i don't want to use those.

thanks,& feel free to delete if there is a thread already covering this that isn't searchable at the moment

The job is much easier with a set of coupe doors to swap on there. I can say that because I swapped doors in short order and watched my brother spend hours with a cutting wheel trying to cut up his doors. Plus, then you can keep your 'vert doors intact and put them back on it if you ever sell the car.

The 'vert door seatbelt is much too long. You want to get a set of belt from another car.. keep an eye on the classifieds pages for 240sx part-outs and get yourself a set of belts.

If you read the thread that I linked above, it will have a great amount of info on the belts and other details of the swap.

i used the back seatbelts for the front and it sucks bad, it gets tangled and what not. I would suggest front seatbelts from a sentra or something. Thats my plan anyway

cool, thanks... door swap it is
i read that swap thread, but im sure i only skimmed some parts of it. i have the seatbelts from the coupe parts car, maybe i can use them. i thought about using the front seatbelts from the coupe and mount in stock location in the vert, and instead of the shoulder harness sliding on the a pillar(of course wouldn't work), mount the female buckle of shoulder belt that slides, to the second latch area on the quarterpanel that sticks up above the shoulder.. and just have to do the double buckle ...if that makes sense( more of a visual mindset so explaining my visualization doesnt always work)
i think all the belt retracting stuff is mounted on the floor, and makes carpet swaps work better that way too, ideas concerns, etc.
