Does anyone know where I can get the fiberglass inserts for the door panels? I want to make mine blue and when I try to cover it with material it bunches up and looks like crap! I saw some clip in door inserts on ebay but I wont pay $200 for them! Let me know if anyone knows where. Jason

I think from now on I am going to just go as fast as I can(which isnt that fast) Down the main road and when I get in front of burger king just throw the flyers out the window! This way when there police calling them up they will see it!!!! LOL Later

I am looking for the inserts so I can paint them and do all the work. When people ask who did it I dont have to tell them "some shop in NAHA" or something like that. I can say I did it. I guess its just me though

How are you attaching the material that its bunching up. We just did my friends car with hotglue gun and glued the material behind the plastic insert. restapled (air gun) the panel back to the door panel.

I am planning on doing mine ala hot glue but with a little heavier material like vinyl or imitation leather. The moron that owned the car before me used screws through the panel to fasten it backafter the staples pulled out, but good insight if he had gone from the back side. That is how I am going to do it, just a regular panhead machine screw with a 1/2 inch shank. It sits flush with the panel without poking through.

Use hot glue, or get some 3M general purpose spray adhesive, that stuff sticks like a mofo. i got a can a the local craft store but you should be able to find it at any hardware store too. Ive found that with hot glue it sometimes leaves ridges/bumps and can be hard to work with.

I used the 3M glue on mine. The only thing is that in the corner were your elbow goes it is a big curve so it bunches up. I am going to try one more time and see if it works. I didnt think about hot glue but that would be good for in the corners. I might have to do what Mad said and just take it to the interior shop.
