Door panel question

For those who have had the front door panels off, is it possible to remove the upper leather half from the lower vinyl half? i have a chance to buy some door panels because my upper halves are worn, wanna know how possible it is to change them out, and the handle too.

Thanks very much for the pic. Hmm, doesn't look too much like it would be that possible to do a good job. You would definitely need an upholsterer. Looking how the leather is wrapped through the door handle hole, and the seam where the two halves meet, it looks like 1 piece...

Maybe not gonna happen...

So here's a question then: You have some scuffs and marks on the upper halves of your door panels...how would you diminish the look of them? Shoe polish? Leather conditioning? It's really bugging me...

Someone posted a link to a leather refinisher at a Caddy forum (must've been Jesda) that you might want to look into. The question I have about the refinishing is how long it will hold up. You'd have to find a good match as you're basically re-dying the leather. But it's one option.
