Door panel clips

For some reason 3 of the clips at the bottom of my door panel are no longer stying in the door. They just pull in and out from the door.
Is there something that needs to be in the door holes for the panel clips to hold on to?

Just worn down, try replacing them or filling the holes in with something tacky.
