Hello,
A friend in the Caribbean (Grenada) has a Pathfinder. It's a 2002 model (R50, I believe), right-hand drive (your right arm is near the window). I'm in the UK on holiday and trying to get a replacement for her.
The door mirror took a bash and the little alloy bit inside that lets the mirror unit swivel is bust. I'm told I can't get just this part and must buy a whole mirror unit. If that's not so, can anyone help by suggesting somewhere I can buy the alloy bit? If the advice is true, can anyone help with sourcing a cheap mirror unit? I've found one on eBay for £50 (UK sterling) and I'm hoping not to spend that much.
The busted mirror unit is on the driver's side (left side as you look at the car from the front). I'm hoping someone might have an old one with broken glass and/or electrics, as the mirror and electrics still work fine on the busted one currently taped to this car (it wasn't a big bash). I'll pay postage from the US or UK or anywhere else depending on how much that would be (it's about £5 from the UK).
I have pictures so I could verify type. The busted one has three screws underneath the unit that attach it to the bit fixed to the car (via the busted alloy part). I don't care about colour as I have black paint. I'm also told it's the same mirror unit type as fitted to the Navarra of a similar age.
Can anyone help?
