Of not working, for a few days, then they will work, on 1992Q. When not working, the normal function of unlocking all doors when the driver door unlock is double pulsed with the key, does not work, neither does the unlock rocker switch that is on the driver door panel with the seat adjustments.
When the car is in this state, I can hear a relay click in the center arm rest area, but no action on the door lock/ulock motors.

Also, the driver door lock/unlock motor seems weak, even when the remote lock/unlock action works on the other doors, driver door lock lever moves about 1/2 way.

Seems familiar? If so, please share. Thanks, Drake

It looks like your weather is pretty similar to here - so not too cold, but do you notice any difference when it's cold? When you say it's "double pulsed with the key" does your car have a remote? My 90 didn't come with it - I'm assuming they added it at some point in the early 90s though.

temperature seems to have no effect, it has a mind of it's own. Car has aftermarket keyless that I added, though it does not work for me: It sets off the security system when actuators fire but door cylinder is not used, and bc of the afore mentioned weak driver door actuator, the driver door does not unlock. Same deal with remote trunk opening, it starts flashing park lights and beeping.

The double pulse is part of the OEM system: On the driver door, one unlock motion at the door key unlocks the driver door, and if the key is immediately returned to neutral and then to unlock, all door unlock actuators fire.
Behavior at passenger door key is different in that 1st/any unlock motion fires all unlock actuators. Driver door double pulse function was(is?) pretty popular feature, 1997 Camry does the same thing.

I think I could make added keyless work better if driver door actuator is fixed, and unlock pulse from cylinder is simulated by keyless, it just has not been a priority.

Is there any way to disable OEM security system? It really is not useful to me, for various reasons.

Thanks, Drake

I can't remember if unplugging the hood pin switch, or leaving it plugged in while unbolted and dangling, will defeat the alarm. One of those two will prevent it from arming.
