The passenger door on my 95 240sx will not unlock. No key, power locks, nor manual ulock will do the trick. And being unable to open the door i can't take the door panel off. I know its not the rod as i had the top of the door panel moved up and over the lip so i could see down in there. I think it has something to do with the acutall full door lock mechanism and latch. Just wondering if theres a overide to the actually locking mechanism

I had something similar happen to my '92 like that. A friend tried to open the door as I was unlocking it and got the latch handle jammed up. We just manually worked the inside lock and it finally released and allowed itself to be unlocked as normal.

Call the local neighborhood car thief and asak him to bring his slim jim.

If the latch mechanisam itself is jammed/broken then you will need to find a way to get down to the latch and trip the release.

One thing I have seen done push firmly on the door (as if it did not close fully and you want to finish the job.) That may jar things enough to free it up.

Good Luck

i've tried *** this... i had the top of the door panel pulled out and the drivers door off just so i knew how everything moved and worked... Theres actually a sealed box that houses the locking mechanisms and i believe that something in there is no right, becuase no matter how much i try to move the rods that unlock nothing happens. It just won't click over to the unlock positon. It gets super close but something is blocking it
