Every time it gets damp out my door locks keep unlocking automatically, i lock them manually, with the key and with the fob and they keep unlocking by themselves. I have replaced the battery in the fob, removed the battery and took the fob far away to make sure it wasn't transmitting some stray signal. :wtf2: all with no help, the alarm stays set so if someone opens the door the alarm sounds, but the constant clicking drives me crazy when i am in the car, please help,.. thank you

Bad relay or short circuit? If it only happens when it is wet/damp out Id say you are shorting a connection somewhere. Whether it is in the fob or the lock itself is what you need to figure out. I would take the battery out of the fob, lock the door with the rocker switch on the inside of the door itself, then close it and see what happens. If it doesnt unlock, the fob is your problem. If it does, its somewhere in the door.

This is a new one, good luck.

Hey DJBeasy,
Thanks for the time to answer my post, I did consider the fob, took the battery out locks still pop, had the fob taken miles away from the car and locks still pop, was told it might be dampness getting into the actuator, supposable one in each door and one main one in the dash, probly the one in the dash being it activates all locks. but have found no literature on its location or how to test it, any additional help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Im not sure what else to tell you. Try searching this site for the Factory Service Manual (FSM) and you might be able to find the exact location of the actuators you mentioned above. Other than that, you may have to bite the bullet and bring it in to the stealership service dept.

This is a new issue, have not heard of anyone else experiencing the same. Please post back the results once you get it sorted out.

I had this problem on my old '02 altima before after a good rain soaked my door panel, it did exactly as you described. I blasted the heat with the car running on recirculate and the a/c on as well to dry the air, after a while (a couple hours full blast on the hottest setting) it dried out and the problem never returned. If your case is more severe you may have to open the driver door panel and use a hair dryer to dry all the electronics in there, at that time you may find some silicon gel that can be applied to the circuitry to keep moisture out. Good luck!
