My door solenoids are acting up on my 89 hatch. I can only lock or unlock from the driver side door. Sometimes when I push it one will lock and one will unlock. Sometimes they will even seizure and keep locking and unlocking until I force both into lock at the same time. I don't really trust them they might decide to unlock one day or something lol. Well anyway can I remove these and will the key be enough to open them? Were these an option or do all 240's have them?

Just unplug the actuator at the actuator. No need to take the actuator out unless it's frozen. Then it will be like you have manual door locks.

loose linkages could cause a problem also, i need to fix mine, driverside is stuck in the winter and sometimes they kick back on me when I'm unlocking it. Just one more thing I have added to this years work on the car.
