I guess my question is, are there any other nissans that have door lock cylinders that are interchangeable with the ones on my hatchback? I'm not concerned about the ignition since it works perfectly and I don't care about having two keys for the door locks and the ignition. Only the drivers side door unlocks with the ignition key (its been like that since I've owned the car) but now its starting to get harder and harder to unlock it and I'm afraid that one of these days I wont be able to unlock it. I've seen a couple of places that sell a complete set but for a premium. I figured since I was going to the junkyard some time soon, I'd see if there was another nissan or infiniti that I could pull them off and save a few bucks because I doubt I'll find a 240 there.

I pulled my cylinders out of the door & PB blaster'd the s*** out of them when they started getting hard to turn. let em soak for a day, put em back in & no problems in the 4 years since.

after you go that route of freeing the gunk out of the door lock cylinders with pb blaster, make sure your key is also not too worn out that it doesn't push back the pins inside the tumbler fully

have a new key made from the key code if your original seems to be "smoothed out"

I've used this stuff pretty successfully in the past to unseize old locks.

I might try that fir the drivers side door but the passenger door and the hatch might not even use the same key as what I have. So thats kind of why I want to replace them. I'd like a key that I could use on any of the three locks
