Door Lock Actuator steps after door panel is removed?

What are the steps to replace the electronic 'Door Lock Actuator' in the front passenger door on a 2003 Infiniti QX4?

I removed and replaced the door panel just to have a look, and that was no problem.

Removing and hopefully replacing the the electronic door lock actuator looked intimidating to me.

Are there precautions?
Are special tools needed?
Difficulty?

The front passenger door can be unlocked and locked manually on the door, but not by using the the electronic door switch, nor by using the key remote or nor by using the switch on the driver side door.
